How to play
Click or tap a square to open it. A number shows how many of the eight squares around it hide a bomb; an empty square opens its neighbours automatically. Mark squares you are sure about with a 🚩 — right-click on a computer, or long-press on a phone. You can also turn on Flag mode so every tap places a flag. Open every safe square to win.
Chording
When a number already has that many flags around it, click the number to open all its other neighbours at once. It is the fastest way to clear the board — just make sure your flags are right first.
Tips
Your first click never hits a bomb and always opens an area, so start in the middle. Look for 1s on corners and the “1-2-1” pattern along walls; they tell you exactly where bombs are. Best times for each level are saved in this browser.
