How to get a color from an image
Open any picture, then click or tap the spot you want. The magnifier shows the pixels around your pointer so you can land on exactly the right one. The color appears as HEX, RGB and HSL, each with a copy button, and is added to your list so you can collect several.
How the palette is made
The tool looks at thousands of pixels in the picture and groups similar ones together (a method called k-means clustering). Each group becomes one swatch, sorted from the most common color to the least, with the share of the image it covers. It's a quick way to build a color scheme from a photo, an illustration or a character design.
HEX, RGB or HSL?
HEX (#e0479e) is the most common format for websites and design apps. RGB lists the red, green and blue amounts from 0 to 255. HSL describes hue, saturation and lightness, which makes it easy to create lighter or darker versions of a color.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your own browser, so your pictures never leave your device. It even keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.
