How to add page numbers to a PDF
Drop a PDF into the box. Pick one of six positions, a format such as 1, 1 / 10 or Page 1, and the number to start from. Tick Leave the first page unnumbered for documents with a cover, and numbering begins on page 2. The preview updates as you change settings, and the arrows let you check any page. Press Add and download to save the numbered PDF.
Adding a watermark
Turn on Watermark and type a word such as DRAFT, SAMPLE or CONFIDENTIAL, or text in Chinese or Japanese. Choose its color, opacity and size, and whether it runs diagonally across the page. The same watermark is placed on every page.
Tips
- The original pages are kept as they are, so text stays selectable and the quality doesn’t change.
- Starting at a number other than 1 is handy when a file is one chapter of a longer document.
- An opacity of 15–25% keeps a watermark visible without getting in the way of reading.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your own browser, so your documents never leave your device. That makes it safe for contracts, bank statements and other private paperwork.
