Sign a PDF

Open a PDF, create your signature, and drag it into place. You can also fill in names, dates and short notes.

Tip: drag an item to move it and drag its round corner handle to resize. Click an item to edit its text or color, or press Delete to remove it. A signature you choose to remember is kept only in this browser.

How to sign a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF into the box. The first page appears below.
  2. Press Signature and draw it with your mouse or finger, type your name and pick a style, or upload a photo of your signature on paper. Remove white background makes an uploaded signature blend into the page.
  3. Press Place signature, then drag it into position and pull the corner handle to resize it.
  4. Use Text and Date to fill in your name, today’s date or other short entries, and the arrows to move between pages.
  5. Press Download signed PDF. The original pages stay exactly as they were, with your additions on top.

Tips

Is this a legal signature?

This tool adds an image of your signature, which is how many everyday forms, leases and agreements are signed electronically. Some official documents ask for a certified digital signature (with a certificate from an approved provider) instead, so check what the recipient accepts when in doubt.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens inside your own browser, so your documents never leave your device. That makes it safe for contracts, bank statements and other private paperwork.
