How to use it
Type an expression such as 2sin(30)+√(16) and press Enter or =. You can leave out the multiplication sign before brackets, functions and constants, so 2π and 3(4+1) work. Missing closing brackets at the end are added for you. Press 2nd to switch sin, cos, tan, ln, log, √ and the power keys to their inverses, and DEG/RAD to choose the angle unit.
Order of operations
Brackets come first, then factorial and percent, then powers (right to left, so 2^3^2 = 2^9), then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. A leading minus applies after the power: −2² = −4, while (−2)² = 4. % divides by 100, so 50×8% = 4.
Tips
- Ans is the last result; pressing an operator straight after = continues from it.
- EXP enters scientific notation: 6.02E23.
- M+ and M− add the current result to memory, MR inserts it, MC clears it.
- Results are shown to 12 significant digits, so 0.1+0.2 shows 0.3.
