How to blur part of a photo
Open a picture, then drag a box over a face, a license plate or a line of text. The effect appears as you drag. For odd shapes such as hair or a curved sign, switch to Brush and paint over the area. Made a mistake? Press Undo (or Ctrl+Z). When everything is covered, press Download.
Mosaic, blur or solid box?
Mosaic turns the area into big squares and is the classic way to hide faces. Blur looks softer and suits backgrounds and passers-by. For things that must stay unreadable, such as card numbers, addresses or QR codes, use Solid box or raise the strength, because a light mosaic over large text can sometimes still be guessed.
Location data is removed too
Photos from phones often carry hidden EXIF data, including the GPS spot where they were taken. The saved image is redrawn from scratch, so that data is left out automatically.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your own browser, so your pictures never leave your device. It even keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.
