How to make a GIF from pictures
Drop in your images. They appear as frames in a row; drag them or use the arrows to set the order, and remove any you don't need. Choose how long each frame stays on screen, the width and how many times it loops, then press Make GIF. The finished GIF plays right on the page so you can check it before downloading.
Turning a video into a GIF
Pick a short video, such as an MP4 from your phone. Enter where to start, how many seconds to use and how many frames per second to take, then press Add these frames. A few seconds at 10 frames per second is usually plenty; longer clips quickly make very large files.
Keeping the file small
- Use a smaller width: 320–480 px is enough for chats and forums.
- Fewer frames per second means fewer pictures to store.
- Boomerang plays the frames forward and back for a smooth loop.
- GIFs can show up to 256 colors per frame, so drawings and screenshots stay crisper than detailed photos.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your own browser, so your pictures never leave your device. It even keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.
