How to use the notepad
- Type in the big box. Your note saves a moment after you stop typing, and Ctrl + S (⌘ + S on Mac) saves right away.
- Tap + New note to start another note. Your notes appear in the list, newest first, and the title box renames the current note. Notes without a title use their first line.
- Delete removes the current note. An Undo button appears for a few seconds in case you change your mind.
- Focus opens a fullscreen writing view with nothing but your text. Press Esc or tap the button again to return.
Markdown preview
Write plain text, or use Markdown for structure: # Heading, **bold**, *italic*, - list, - [ ] task, > quote, [link](https://…) and code blocks with three backticks. Tap Preview to see the formatted result, and Write to keep editing.
Where are my notes stored?
Notes are kept in your browser's local storage on this device. They stay after you close the tab or restart, and clearing site data or using a private window removes them. To move a note to another device or keep a backup, use Download .txt or Copy.
Is my text private?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type here is sent to any server.
