How to play
Your little ship floats in the middle of a field of drifting space rocks. Shoot a big rock and it breaks into two medium ones; shoot those and they split into small ones; small ones vanish. Clear every rock to finish the wave — the next wave brings more rocks, a little faster. Everything wraps around the edges: fly off the right side and you come back on the left, and the same goes for rocks and shots. Now and then a flying saucer crosses the screen and fires at you. You start with 3 ships and earn another every 10,000 points.
Controls
On a computer, turn with ← → or A D, thrust with ↑ or W, fire with Space (hold it to keep firing) and jump to hyperspace with ↓, S or Shift. Press P or Esc to pause. On a phone or tablet, use the turn and thrust buttons on the left and the fire and hyperspace buttons on the right — you can press several at once. Your ship keeps drifting after you let go of thrust, just like in space, so tap thrust in short bursts.
Scoring and tips
Big rocks are worth 20 points, medium ones 50 and small ones 100. The large saucer is worth 200 and the small, sharp-shooting saucer 1,000. Rather than blasting every big rock at once, break them a few at a time so the screen does not fill with fast little pieces. Stay near the middle where you have room to turn, and save hyperspace for emergencies — you reappear at a random spot. After you lose a ship, the new one waits until the center is clear and blinks for a moment while it is safe. Your best score is saved in this browser.
