How to play
Tap one of your pieces and dots show every square it can legally move to; tap a dot to move, or drag the piece there. When a pawn reaches the last rank you choose what it becomes. Castling, en passant, check, checkmate and every draw rule — stalemate, threefold repetition, the 50-move rule and insufficient material — are all handled for you.
Computer levels
Easy looks only a move or two ahead and often misses things, which makes it a friendly sparring partner. Normal thinks a few moves deep, and Hard searches as far as it can in under a second. The computer thinks in the background, so the page stays smooth while it plays. Your wins, losses and draws are counted for each level.
Tips
Bring your knights and bishops out early, castle to keep your king safe, and fight for the center squares. Before every move, check what your opponent is threatening. Made a mistake? Undo takes back your last move so you can try another idea, and the move list shows the whole game in standard notation.
